THE REGULATOR STEPS IN
Since January 2023, Dr Cartland has been under investigation by the General Medical Council (GMC) the body which regulates all UK doctors. The allegations relate basically to online harassment.
‘The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, throughout 2022, 2023 and 2024, Dr Cartland posted or reposted content on social media regarding Drs A, B and C. It is alleged that Dr Cartland’s conduct constituted harassment.
It is also alleged that on 23 January 2023, Dr Cartland sent an email to Dr A in which he threatened her with retaliatory action in respect of a complaint that she had made about him to the GMC.
It is further alleged that in September 2023, Dr Cartland offered to provide an individual with a Covid-
It is alleged that Dr Cartland’s actions were intended to create a medical record containing information which he knew may be false and that his actions were dishonest.’
GMC issues/allegations
1) Accepted and pursued a case against Dr Cartland when it was clearly (and admitted to by anonymous complainant) that it was entrapment. The evidence also ‘fell’ into the hands of the two of the main complainants.
2) Dr Cartland’s GMC case officer has also been found to have clear bias towards him as when a Freedom of Information request was submitted it was found Dr Cartland had been referred to by GMC staff as an ‘antivaxxer’ and ‘antisemite’.
3) The GMC also wrote to Dr Cartland’s previous employers back in Summer 2023 stating he was under investigation - a highly damaging course of action to take, considering the outcome of any hearing has yet to take place. The GMC have since discontinued with such a policy. However, Dr Cartland has been unable to seek employment in his locality due to this GMC action.
4) The GMC have extended an already torturous investigation for longer than considered reasonably necessary and have failed to provide any type of mental health support for him. With this in mind, it ought to be noted that the GMC have already faced criticism over their handling of doctors under investigation, with many doctors taking their own lives, after finding themselves in similar circumstances.
5) Dr Cartland was also sent the confidential contact details of one of the complainants ‘in error’, by the GMC.
6) Dr Cartland was offered a ‘get out’ deal by the GMC in relation to the alleged falsifying of a Covid 19 ‘vaccine’ exemption, on the basis that he must admit to it, which he declined to do as he does not consider the GMC allegation to be factually correct.
